Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4/30/2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Gnos ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our service.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: the email address and password you provide when creating an account. Passwords are stored hashed and salted.
- Conversations: the messages you send to Gnos and the responses you receive, so you can revisit your chat history.
- Technical data: standard log data such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps for security and abuse prevention.
2. How we use information
- To provide and improve the service.
- To process your prompts through third-party AI providers in order to generate responses.
- To maintain account security and prevent abuse.
3. AI processing
Your messages are sent to third-party large language model providers solely for the purpose of generating a response. We do not sell your conversations. Do not share information you do not want processed by an AI provider.
4. Therapy mode disclaimer
Therapy mode is a supportive conversational tool only. It is not medical or psychological advice and is not a substitute for a licensed mental health professional. If you are in crisis, please contact local emergency services or a crisis hotline (e.g. 988 in the US).
5. Data retention and deletion
You can delete any conversation at any time from within the app. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at the email below.
6. Security
We use industry-standard security including encrypted transport (HTTPS), row-level access controls so that only you can read your own conversations, and password hashing.
7. Children
Gnos is not intended for children under 13. Do not use the service if you are under 13.
8. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
